Post-Workout Recovery Smoothie

Whether you’re doing The Sun Run, conquering the grind, biking the seawall, or chasing your kids around Stanley Park, this smoothie will refuel your body. Our own resident Holistic Nutritionist, Kari, whipped this up for all of our active friends out there.

This delish smoothie has everything your body needs to replenish and repair after you’ve pushed it to its limits:

  • Plant-based protein paired with a good simple carb to kickstart muscle growth & recovery,
  • Antioxidants to help reduce inflammation
  • B-Vitamins for energy and cellular repair (B’s are water-soluble so they are depleted when you sweat)
  • Potassium to prevent muscle cramping & support cardiovascular function
  • Magnesium to relax your muscles and support energy production
