We believe that you have a right to know exactly what you’re putting in your body. That’s why our products are 100% certified organic food to begin with, but we go a step further before our products get to you.
Every batch of PureFood is tested by a third-party lab to verify nutrient levels. We don’t pull nutrition data from a database and plunk it into a table. We take each individual batch to get tested to make sure you know exactly what you’re getting.
You may notice slight variations in the nutrient levels between individual batches of our products (IE: different lot numbers). Our products are all minimally processed and only food, so there will naturally be some slight variations in nutrient content and colour due to growing conditions, the time of harvest, and even the individual farm who grew the food. This is natural – that’s what real food is like!
We also test for the absence of certain harmful substances, like mold, bacteria, allergens (like gluten), and heavy metals. We wouldn’t want those things in our food, so we know you won’t, either!
Only the Best Goes into our Jars
We take ingredient sourcing very seriously. We support as many local Canadian farmers as possible, but as much as we love Canada, some things just don’t grow here in our beautiful country.
Anything that we can’t get locally is sourced from the best suppliers in India, South America, Taiwan, and the United States, and are all USDA Certified Organic. None of our ingredients are sourced from China, due to potential food safety and contamination concerns.
