Brazil nuts are highly nutritious, and are especially high in the mineral Selenium, and contain abundant dietary antioxidants. A single Brazil nut 160% of the US Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of selenium – perhaps the best source of Se from plant-based foods. Their antioxidant and antiproliferative activities, are linked to reducing risk of developing atherosclerosis and cancer.1
