Hydrate, protect your skin, and take a proactive approach to wellness this summer with this glow-inducing antioxidant rich smoothie, featuring many fresh seasonal summer ingredients. But don’t fret – you can still find everything in the off season too!
This smoothie also makes a great base for any of your favorite Pranin PureFood products, it goes well with them all (we’ve taste tested!).
Basil – Incorporated for it’s phytochemical and anti-microbial properties1, basil (both ‘regular’ culinary basil, and holy basil – aka Tulsi) – offers a pleasant taste addition as well as health benefits.
Strawberries – Amongst the highest in antioxidants compared to all other berries2, it’s also one of the lowest in sugar content.
Hemp Seeds – Hemp seeds are a great source of arginine and gamma-linolenic acid, which have been linked with a reduced risk of heart disease3.
Coconut Water – An excellent source of potassium, a key electrolyte which helps regulate fluid balance4 (for hot sweaty, summer days and year-round workouts).
Lime – a source of vitamin C, a necessary component in collagen production which keeps your skin, hair, nails, tendons, ligaments, and joints strong and supple – quite the power nutrient!
Protecting your skin, and boosting your antioxidant intake is a year round habit.
