Pear & Cinnamon Probiotic Smoothie

This probiotic smoothie goes far beyond gut health. The combo of ACV, pear and cinnamon is super healing. Read below for the stellar health benefits this trio of plant foods offers!

Pears – Did you know pears are one of the oldest farmed fruits? Pears have been traditionally used in China as a remedy for over 2000 years because of their anti-inflammatory, diuretic and antihyperglycemic properties.1 Pears contain fiber, vitamin C, and potassium and many different antioxidants.1

Cinnamon – What can’t this spice do? It’s an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, antimicrobial, anticancer, lipid-lowering, and a cardiovascular-disease-lowering compound.2 It improves circulation, stabalizes blood sugar levels and naturally detoxifies the body.2 

ACV – Apple cider vinegar is a powerful probiotic. It helps lower blood sugar, kill pathogens and good quality brands even contain amino acids and antioxidants! Always buy raw and unpasteurized Apple Cider vinegar. It might sound weird to put this in your smoothie, but it actually enhances the flavour and of course, the nutritional content!

Probiotics are very important as they aid in digestion and help keep your gut bacteria (microbiome) balanced.   • 2 medium sized Pears, ripe, quartered and stems removed
  • 1/2 medium sized Apple, seeds removed
  • 1 cup Almond, Hemp or Coconut Mylk
  • 1 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 medium sized Medjool Date, pitted
Optional Nutritional Boosters
  • 1 heaping teaspoon PureFood A to Z
  • 1 scoop PureFood B
  • 1 scoop PureFood C
  • 1 scoop PureFood Iron Only add if you are iron deficient/anemic

  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender, blend until smooth and enjoy all of the health benefits that come with eating whole, nutrient dense, organic, plant foods!
