Energizing Lemonade

Ingredients
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (approx. 6 lemons), or more for desired taste
- 1/2 cup coconut palm sugar (or coconut nectar or honey)
- 4 cups cold water (filtered)
- pinch mountain/Himalayan salt
- ice
- 1 scoop PureFood B (per glass)

Instructions
Wash lemons then roll them a hard surface until they are soft. This will allow you to get the most juice out of them when squeezing.

Cut all lemons in half and use a fork or reamer to juice into a bowl
Add sugar, lemon zest and 1 cup of water to a small saucepan to make simple syrup. Simmer for approximately 5-minutes, do not boil. Stir frequently to dissolve sugar, remove from heat and let cool.
Strain simple sugar into a pitcher and add cold water, lemon juice and salt. Stir well.
In a pint sized glass, fill glass ¾ full with lemonade, add one serving of PureFood B, stir well, add ice and enjoy.

On-the-Go Alternative
If time is an issue, no worries, buy a good quality organic pre-made lemonade from your local grocer, add ice and one serving of PureFood B. Stir or shake well.
Recipe Notes
Option: Chill lemonade pitcher in fridge for 2-3 hours and then add one serving of PureFood B when you’re ready to drink a glass. Stir well and add ice.
